| $25 ● 45 Healthy Snacks for Kids in our GREAT Youth and Families Program Children experiencing homelessness are twice as likely to go hungry as non-homeless children. 1 They also have high rates of obesity due to nutritional deficiencies. 2 Your $25 donation will provide 45 children with nutritious snacks to boost brain power during afternoon tutoring sessions that encourage improved school performance. |

$50 ● Individual Counseling for a Child or Group Therapy for 7 Children Children experiencing homelessness have three times the rate of emotional and behavioral problems as their peers. 3 Among school-age homeless children 36 % show delinquent or aggressive behavior, compared to 17% of their peers. 4 Your $50 donation will provide children with individual counseling or group therapy within a holistic program that teaches and promotes non-violent communication and builds kids' self-esteem. |

| $100 ● 1 Night of Safe Shelter for a Family Over 92% of homeless mothers have experienced severe physical and/or sexual abuse during their lifetime. 5 By age twelve, 83% of homeless children have been exposed to at least one serious violent event. 6 Your $100 donation will provide safe, quality temporary housing, for a mother to rest her head without worrying about her well-being or her child's safety for at least one night. |
$250 ● 1 Week of Housing Search for 28 Families 74% of homeless children worry that they will have no place to live. (Stat?) 7 In addition, 58% worry that they will have no place to sleep, 8 and 87% worry that something bad will happen to their family.9 Your donation of $250 will provide one week of intensive housing search services to help 28 families that are currently living in a shelter . From the day they arrive in the shelter, families work closely with HFI staff to identify housing opportunities, complete applications and move into new homes. |
